LUNAR Remastered Collection Althena's Treasure Box

If you know, you know. And if you collected bromide cards in the original PS1 releases, you already feel it in your chest. The Althena's Treasure Box is a limited edition collector's boxset celebrating the LUNAR Remastered Collection, and it's basically a love letter written directly to those of us who fell for LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue Complete back when Working Designs was still the gold standard for JRPG localization.

GungHo Online Entertainment packed this one with the kind of physical goods that remind you why collecting matters in the first place. Inside the treasure box-style package you'll find an acrylic diorama, cloth poster, lenticular print, enamel pins, a keychain, a medium gaming mousepad, an XL t-shirt, and yes... bromide trading cards.

Physical bromide cards. In 2025. " Those original PS1 bromides are the stuff of collector legend, and having a fresh set tied to the remastered editions feels like GungHo actually talked to fans before putting this together.

For the uninitiated, LUNAR holds a very specific place in JRPG history. Silver Star Story was the best-selling Sega CD title in Japan. Eternal Blue expanded the world a thousand years into the future and somehow made us care even more.

These were games built around genuine character relationships, animated cutscenes that blew our minds on 32-bit hardware, and soundtracks we can still hum note for note. The remastered collection brings both PS1 "Complete" versions to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, which means an entirely new generation gets to experience Alex's journey to become a Dragonmaster and Hiro's quest alongside the mysterious Lucia. This boxset doesn't include the game itself, but that's almost the point.

It's not for people who need convincing. It's for those of us who already own LUNAR on multiple platforms and want something tangible to show for decades of devotion. The acrylic diorama alone is going to look incredible next to your collection, and those bromides are the kind of item other JRPG collectors will immediately clock on your shelf.
