Limited Run #131: Thimbleweed Park Big Box Edition (PS4)
Limited Run Games

A classic LucasArts-style big box. A fold-out tourist map. A newspaper from October 13, 1987. This is what happens when point-and-click adventure fans make a collector's edition. Limited Run #131: Thimbleweed Park Big Box Edition for PlayStation 4 is limited to 2,500 copies worldwide, region-free, and built in partnership with Fangamer.

Thimbleweed Park is Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick's love letter to the golden age of adventure games, packed with the humor, mystery, and absurdity that made Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island legendary. A dead body under a bridge, a haunted hotel, a sentient pizza, and a burned-out pillow factory. If that pitch doesn't grab you, we can't help.

The Big Box Edition nails the presentation. Inside you get the PS4 disc, a retro manual, full-color interior cover print, three PS4-exclusive stickers, a set of official Thimbleweed Park Post-it Notes, and a PS4-exclusive tape cassette containing the game's soundtrack. The fold-out "Explore Thimbleweed Park Country" tourist map and the Thimbleweed Nickel newspaper are the standout pieces, the kind of in-universe ephemera that turns a collector's edition into an artifact. It looks and feels like something you'd have found at a computer store in 1987, and that's exactly the point. At 2,500 copies, this is a must-own for adventure game collectors.
