LEGO and Pirates of the Caribbean together is the kind of crossover that shouldn't need a sales pitch, yet here we are. The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Special Edition on Xbox 360 combined Traveller's Tales' brick-smashing charm with Captain Jack's swashbuckling chaos, and the Special Edition sweetened the deal in the most LEGO way possible. The star of the package is the exclusive LEGO mini figure, a physical brick-built character you couldn't get anywhere else.

For LEGO collectors and game collectors alike, that kind of exclusivity hits different. You also got a mini strategy guide tucked in, plus a LEGO Club free membership offer that connected the digital adventure to the wider brick-building world. The 360 era was loaded with LEGO game releases, but not all of them got dedicated special editions with actual LEGO pieces inside.

That distinction matters when you're scanning a shelf full of cases and one of them has a tangible, buildable bonus sitting alongside the disc. The mini figure alone has become a sought-after piece in LEGO trading circles, which means plenty of these got cracked open and stripped for parts. A complete, sealed Special Edition with the figure still untouched is the collector's play.

It sits at the intersection of two massive collecting hobbies, gaming and LEGO, and anything that bridges those worlds this cleanly deserves a prominent spot in the display case.
