Suda51 made a game about a government assassin with a cybernetic arm who fights vampires on the moon, and somehow that's only the third weirdest thing about it. The Killer Is Dead Fan Edition on Xbox 360 packages Grasshopper Manufacture's stylish action slasher with a collection of physical goods that match the game's unhinged energy. The full soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka on CD is the headliner here, because when the man behind Silent Hill's audio nightmares scores your action game, you preserve that on physical media.

The fully colored art book showcases the cel-shaded visual style that made Killer Is Dead look like a playable graphic novel, all sharp contrasts and impossible lighting. The papercraft diorama is a delightfully odd inclusion, perfectly on brand for a game that never once tried to be normal. The poster rounds out the physical goods with artwork worth framing.

Digitally, the Smooth Operator DLC Pack brings Episode 51, the Gigolo Glasses with their X-Ray functionality, and the mysterious Betty for Gigolo Mode. The Fan Edition was a PAL territory release, which means North American collectors have to hunt internationally for it. That extra layer of import scarcity makes a complete Fan Edition a genuine flex in any 360 collection.

Suda51's catalog is full of cult classics that the mainstream ignored and collectors eventually canonized. This one's well on its way.
