Halo Reach Limited Edition
Bungie said goodbye to Halo with a story about sacrifice, and the Limited Edition packaging mirrors that gravity. The Halo Reach Limited Edition for Xbox 360 wraps the game disc in a recovered ONI "black box" and pairs it with an exclusive Elite armor set for multiplayer, plus an artifact bag stuffed with Dr. Halsey's personal journal and a collection of classified documents and effects from deep within the Halo universe.
The artifact bag is what elevates this beyond a standard limited run. Opening it feels like sorting through recovered intel, each document adding context to a universe that Bungie spent a decade building. Dr.
Halsey's journal, in particular, rewards careful reading. It's layered with references, hidden details, and narrative connections that span the full Halo saga. The ONI black box is a smart piece of presentation design, giving the whole package a utilitarian military aesthetic that fits Reach's tone perfectly.
No glossy embossing, no flashy foil printing. Just a matte container that looks like it survived re-entry. The multiplayer Elite armor set was a nice incentive at launch, but the journal and documents are what collectors come back for.
This is one of those Xbox 360 limited editions where the physical contents genuinely enhance the experience of the game itself, rather than just sitting next to it on a shelf.
