Ground Zero: Texas (SCD) Premium Edition

NINTENDO SWITCH
Ground Zero: Texas (SCD) Premium Edition
Limited Run Games

Aliens are disguising themselves as Texans, and honestly, that might be the most Sega CD premise ever committed to disc. The Ground Zero: Texas Premium Edition for Sega CD is a full-motion video fever dream wrapped in a collector's package that goes way beyond the disc. This Premium Edition includes Ground Zero: Texas Nuclear Edition on Sega CD, a premium foil collector's box, the full game script, the original soundtrack, a mini license plate, a Ground Zero Texas decal, and a reversible 18" x 24" poster.

FMV games were the Sega CD's entire identity, and Ground Zero: Texas was one of the wildest entries in the genre, dropping you into a dusty border town armed with particle beam BattleCams to expose and stun alien infiltrators. It's campy, it's ambitious, and it's exactly the kind of game that could only exist in that brief window when developers thought "interactive movie" was the future. For Sega CD collectors, the platform's library is finite and deeply nostalgic, representing a moment when the industry was throwing everything at the wall to see what stuck.

The premium foil box and included script give this edition a display presence that most Sega CD titles never got the first time around. The mini license plate is the kind of oddball extra that makes you grin every time you notice it on the shelf. A proper tribute to one of gaming's strangest detours.
