Far Cry Primal Deluxe Edition

Ten thousand years before anyone invented a radio tower to climb, Far Cry went full prehistoric and it was glorious. Far Cry Primal Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 4 is Ubisoft's boldest detour in the franchise, stripping away the guns, the vehicles, and the wingsuit to drop you into 10,000 BCE with nothing but a club and a really bad attitude. The Deluxe Edition doesn't hold back on the physical goods.

You get a full physical map of the land of Oros, a soundtrack CD that captures the primal atmosphere perfectly, and the Legend of the Mammoth mission pack that lets you actually play as a mammoth. On the digital side, the Blood Shasti Club weapon and four enhancement packs covering the Sabretooth Pack, the Owl Pack, the Mammoth Pack, and the Bomb Pack give you early access to some of the game's best customization tools. This is PS4-era collecting at its finest, when Ubisoft still packed physical maps into their special editions and a soundtrack CD felt like a genuine bonus.

Far Cry Primal was divisive at launch, but time has been kind to it. It's the one entry that dared to do something completely different, and collectors who grabbed the Deluxe Edition have the map and the music to prove their loyalty.
