Strictly Limited Games

Eschatos doesn't need a premium box to justify its place in your collection. The game itself handles that. The Eschatos Limited Edition for PlayStation 4 is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive capped at 1,300 numbered copies, featuring the game with a reversible cover and a colorful manual.

For the uninitiated, this is Qute designer M-KAI's vertical shooting masterpiece, a game that spent years trapped as a Japan-only Xbox 360 release while SHMUP fans whispered about it like some forbidden text. Three weapon types, each suited to different combat scenarios. A shield that doubles as a point-blank wrecking ball if you've got the nerve to use it. Dynamic camera angles that stitch five gorgeous stages together without a single loading screen. And Yousuke Yasui's synth-driven soundtrack that burrows into your brain and refuses to leave.

You're also getting Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins, Qute's two WonderSwan shooters that serve as spiritual prequels. The PS4 version upgrades all three with remastered audio and improved performance. This is the first physical release these games have ever received outside Japan.

The Limited Edition strips things to the essentials, and sometimes that's exactly what we want. Reversible cover art, a proper manual, and 1,300 copies standing between this release and gone forever. Not every collector needs the deluxe spread. Some of us just want the game in hand, numbered and accounted for, sitting on the shelf where it belongs.
