That title alone takes up half the shelf space, and the edition lives up to every syllable of it. Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and The Blight Below Day One Edition on PlayStation 4 shipped with a loadout of Slime-themed weaponry that only Square Enix could dream up: the Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, Squishing Rod, and Gungenir. Leave it to Dragon Quest to turn its most iconic mascot into an entire armory.

The Day One Edition weapons are pure fan service forged into gameplay items. Every piece channels that unmistakable Slime aesthetic, Akira Toriyama's design sensibility stretched across an entire weapon rack. For PS4 collectors, this Day One Edition matters because these items were strictly tied to early physical copies.

Once the launch window closed, they were gone from retail. Dragon Quest Heroes was already a fascinating collision between the series' RPG heritage and Dynasty Warriors' action formula, and the Day One bonuses gave early adopters something tangible to show for their loyalty. Complete copies with unused DLC codes have become the ones worth hunting for, as the Slime weapon set transforms from a cute bonus into proof that you were there when Dragon Quest's action spinoff first hit PlayStation.

Sometimes the weirdest items end up being the most collectible, and an entire arsenal shaped like a Slime definitely qualifies.
