Dishonored (Future Shop Steelbook Edition)
Dishonored on a steelbook. Arkane's supernatural assassination masterpiece wrapped in metal, courtesy of a Canadian retailer that no longer exists. The Dishonored Future Shop Steelbook Edition on PC paired the standard game with an empty G1-sized steelbook, exclusively available as a pre-order through Future Shop Canada.
Dishonored's art direction, that oil-painting-meets-industrial-plague aesthetic, was practically designed to look stunning on a steelbook. The G1 compact size gives it a dense, weighty feel that photographs well and displays even better alongside the game's other collector variants. And as an empty case, it serves purely as a display piece, which is exactly how most steelbook collectors prefer to use them anyway.
The scarcity math is familiar by now. Future Shop closed in 2015, PC physical releases from 2012 were already limited run by default, and a retailer-exclusive pre-order bonus narrows the surviving population to a sliver. But Dishonored adds something the other Future Shop steelbooks don't have: a franchise that only grew in prestige. The series went on to critical acclaim with its sequel and standalone expansion, which means retroactive demand for early Dishonored collectibles has climbed steadily.
For collectors building a complete Dishonored library, this steelbook is one of the harder pieces to source. It's a small, elegant artifact from the moment Arkane Studios announced themselves as one of the best studios in the industry. The kind of piece that quietly appreciates while louder collectibles gather dust.
