Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless

The Netherworld doesn't do anything by halves, and neither does this Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch. That "Songs of Honor" 2-disc soundtrack is a standout. Disgaea soundtracks have always punched above their weight, blending irreverence with genuinely great composition, and having it on physical media feels right for a franchise that's never chased trends. The "Art of War" hardcover art book delivers the visual goods, showcasing character designs and world art in a format that does the artists justice.

The Steelbook is clean and display-ready, but the real conversation pieces here are the Mini Byoubu Art Display and the "Netherworld Warriors" Yunomi Tea Cup. A miniature folding screen and a traditional tea cup, both themed around a game about demons and absurd damage numbers. It shouldn't work, but it absolutely does. These are items with genuine personality, the kind of inclusions that separate a thoughtful collector's edition from a forgettable one.

For Switch collectors building out a NIS America shelf, this box fills a specific and satisfying role. It's weird, it's beautiful, and it's unapologetically Disgaea.
