An empty SteelBook shouldn't be this compelling, but here we are. The Crysis 2 SteelBook Edition on Xbox 360 is a horizontal-format SteelBook that was sold as an add-on to other Crysis 2 editions in France, exclusively through Micromania. It came unsealed and empty, designed for you to slip your own copy of the game inside.

That might sound anticlimactic until you realize how few of these actually made it into the wild. French retail exclusives from the 360 era are already niche, and a standalone SteelBook sold only alongside pre-orders at a single chain narrows the pool considerably. The horizontal format is a nice differentiator too, standing out from the standard vertical SteelBooks that dominated that generation.

Crysis 2 pushed console hardware to its limits, and this SteelBook gives it the premium housing it deserves. For SteelBook collectors especially, the regional exclusivity and unusual format make this a genuine find. The kind of piece that turns a good display into a great one.
