PLAYSTATION 5
Clockwork Aquario Collector's Edition (PS5)
Strictly Limited Games

Some games get cancelled and fade into footnotes. Clockwork Aquario spent nearly 30 years as a ghost story whispered among arcade enthusiasts. The Clockwork Aquario Collector's Edition for PlayStation 5 is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive, individually numbered and limited to just 1,200 copies worldwide. This is the last arcade game ever developed by the legendary Westone Bit Entertainment, started in 1992, never finished, and presumed lost until Strictly Limited went full video game archaeologist to rescue it.

The game itself is a gorgeous slice of early '90s pixel art at its most vibrant. Three playable characters, Huck Londo the ghost hunter, Elle Moon the adventuress, and Gush the warmhearted giant robot, each bring a distinct feel to the kind of colorful side-scrolling action that defined the arcade golden age. This isn't a retro throwback designed to look old. This is the real thing, a genuine artifact pulled from the vault and finished with care.

The collector's package reflects the reverence this resurrection deserves. A PCB-retro-box and magnetic-latch collector's box house a hardcover artbook, acrylic diorama, both original and remix soundtrack CDs, an arcade coin, character cards, large reversible poster, arcade sticker, arcade flyer, and a stickersheet. The dual soundtracks are a particularly nice touch, letting you experience both the authentic arcade audio and a fresh take on the compositions.

At 1,200 copies, this is already scarce by any standard. For collectors who appreciate gaming preservation and the stories behind lost titles, Clockwork Aquario isn't just a game. It's a rescue mission you can hold in your hands.
