Alex Ross drew the steelbook art. That alone should end the conversation, but let's keep going. The Assassin's Creed III Freedom Edition for Xbox 360 is a heavy hitter, packing a 24cm Connor figurine, a steelbook with cover art by one of the most celebrated comic artists alive, George Washington's notebook, and an exclusive lithograph.

This is the edition Ubisoft built for display cases. The Connor figurine stands tall with the kind of detail that holds up under close inspection, and paired with that Ross-illustrated steelbook, the visual impact on a shelf is immediate. Washington's notebook adds the same in-universe lore depth found in the Join or Die Edition, while the lithograph gives you a proper art piece to frame.

The Freedom Edition represents that sweet spot in the Xbox 360 era when publishers still believed physical collector's editions should feel like events. Every piece here was designed to be seen, handled, and appreciated. Finding one complete with all four items in good condition is the real hunt now, which feels appropriate for a game about a colonial assassin tracking his prey through the American Revolution.

If your collection has room for one premium AC3 edition, this is the one that fills it best.
