Alone in the Dark has been trying to scare us since 1992, and the Wii entry came packaged in a limited edition that understood what horror fans actually want on their shelves. The Alone in the Dark Limited Edition on Wii wraps the survival horror reboot with a 15cm Edward Carnby figurine, a dedicated artbook, a behind-the-scenes "Making Of" DVD, and the game's original soundtrack on CD. That Carnby figure carries a certain mid-2000s charm, sculpted during an era when gaming figurines were still finding their footing between cheap pack-ins and the premium statues we see today.

The artbook dives into the visual design of the game's Central Park setting, and the making-of DVD is the kind of physical media bonus that simply doesn't exist anymore in our YouTube-dominated landscape. The soundtrack on CD is a nice touch for a franchise that's always leaned into atmosphere over jump scares. For Wii collectors, horror options on the platform were slim, making this limited edition one of the few ways to represent the genre in a Nintendo-heavy display.

The complete package has solid shelf presence and hits that sweet spot of being uncommon enough to be interesting without being impossible to track down. A proper horror collector's piece from a console that rarely got to play in the dark.
