Finn, Jake, and a collector's edition that's almost as chaotic as the show itself. The Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! Collector's Edition on 3DS bundles WayForward's dungeon-crawling adaptation with a bonus DVD packed with actor interviews and storyboard art from series creator Pendleton Ward, plus Finn and Jake's Dungeon Guide, a full-color enhanced manual loaded with art and gameplay tips.

The DVD is the standout. Pendleton Ward's storyboard art gives you a raw look at how Adventure Time episodes were built before the animation polish, before the colors, before the voice acting turned sketches into something millions of people fell in love with. The actor interviews add a layer of behind-the-scenes context that connects the game to the broader Adventure Time universe in a way that feels genuine rather than promotional.

Finn and Jake's Dungeon Guide takes the concept of a game manual and runs with it in the most Adventure Time way possible. Full-color art, in-universe voice, actual gameplay tips disguised as the kind of advice Finn would shout at you mid-dungeon. Physical manuals were already dying by 2013. Getting one that doubles as a mini art book and stays in character from cover to cover is the kind of thing you don't appreciate until years later when every game ships with nothing but a legal insert.

Adventure Time merchandise is vast, but items tied directly to Pendleton Ward's creative involvement carry a different weight. The storyboard art alone makes this a document of the show's creative process. The Collector's Edition turns a licensed 3DS game into a small archive of one of the most influential animated series of its generation.
